SUMMARY: Overall solid meal replacement that gets the job done and doesn't taste bad. I've been interested in meal replacements since Soylent was first announced, but never got into the trend until now. I have finally bit the bullet and decided to start with PlennyShake's vanilla and strawberry flavors. I drink the shakes for breakfast and lunch while keeping a standard dinner. Overall the shakes are good and leave me feeling satisfied after a meal. They have a powdery texture that takes a short bit to get used to, but the flavors are subtle - almost muted - which I like. I prefer vanilla to strawberry and will try more flavors in future orders. After having drank 12 meals with PlennyShake, I look forward to continuing to use the product. It's met my expectations in terms of a meal replacement drink from a cost/flavor/texture/short-term body reaction perspective. I am curious to see how it impacts my long-term goals. PROS + Cost effective. + Quality ingredients. + 2 meals a day (along with 1 standard dinner) leaves me feeling satisfied. + Muted flavors that are not too sweet (low sugar content). + Transparent and open company that communicates well with customers. + Doesn't leave you feeling gassy or bloated after. + The included mixing cup is easy to use, and cleans quickly. Decent quality as well, just wish it wasn't plastic. CONS - Even after extensive mixing/shaking, there's a powdery/gritty texture to the drink. This can be mitigated depending on what you blend it (e.g. soy milk instead of water) with or using techniques others mention (e.g. put it in the fridge for an hour after mixing), but by default, it's there. You get used to it over time and I don't consider this an issue - just that it's there. Other competing meal replacements also have this. - Flavors can be hit or miss depending on your taste. Some people don't enjoy chocolate while others do. Your best bet is to try them and see what works for you. I personally like the vanilla and will continue to have that as my main flavor.
