This delivery was less pleasant than previous ones. I ordered on November 24 and collected the delivery on December 22, so it took 29 days in total. I hope my review can help improve the delivery process.
Here is a timeline; I hope it is useful to you:
- the first delivery point did not come through. This is of course not 100% your fault.
+ You informed me of this and asked me where I wanted the package delivered. This communication (with Daniel) was good and went quickly. The delivery was sent out the next day and delivered the same week, on December 6. The delivery was sent to a 24/7 locker.
- Unfortunately, the pickup delivery service did not send me a code to access my locker, so I was not able to collect the delivery when I visited the locker on December 9.
- When I checked the Track & Trace on December 9, it said the package had been returned to sender. I don't know if this was true. I did not receive a message notifying me that my delivery had been returned to sender, either from JimmyJoy or from the delivery service.
+ Communication with JimmyJoy about this issue was fast and pleasant. I asked to reship the delivery. The delivery was quickly "Ready to send", on December 12.
- Unfortunately, it took a while before the package was on its way. I emailed on December 20.
+ Communication with JimmyJoy about this issue was again fast and pleasant. The order was shipped the same day. The order was delivered the next day, on December 21
+ DPD delivered the package to a different Pickup Parcelshop than I had requested, but they notified me about this; this is fine
- Unfortunately, this new pickup point is only open when I am at work (opening hours are 08:00-18:00 weekdays). I cannot pick up this delivery. Moreover, this shop is closed on the weekends and closes for more than a week for Christmas. I would have preferred to be kept in the loop to indicate a different pickup point, where I could pick it up more conveniently, even if it had meant more delay. (in the end I made it work by working from home and going there early in the morning, but this is not a choice I want to make only to pick up a delivery).
- Unfortunately, JimmyJoy misinformed me about where my package had been delivered. JimmyJoy emailed me on December 21 that my delivery had been delivered to Pickup station DeBuren - Zaaijerp. It appears there was some miscommunication between JimmyJoy and DPD.
Again, in the end everything worked out and I am now happy with my food. I hope that you can use this message to improve your processses.
