I got a kilt and jacket several years ago, for my daughter's wedding. Kilt Society was very responsive and helpful to make sure everything was just right. (photo attached) My recent purchase was a pair of Gillie Boots, which I received today. The fit seems to be great and the workmanship appears to be of high quality. As I do with hiking boots, I tie a surgeon's knot at the top eyelets, before the hooks, to keep the boots snug on the feet. One problem though, what do I do above the last hook? It's kind of like my Gille Brogues, but not quite. What is proper for the remaining portion of lace and tassels?
