I purchased the 31 pieces Kontu Kit as a Xmas gift for my grandchildren (ages 1,2&3). They haven’t seen it yet but I have opened it to look at. The pieces inside have a nice, smooth appearance and clack when they join together .... which should appeal to the kids. I strongly believe young children need hands on activities that help to develop numeracy skills and Kontu was appealing. I like that it can be used at different levels of difficulty depending on child’a Age or ability. The blocks stack really well so even a 1 year old can use them to start learning how to count. I will also use them to introduce addition and subtraction concepts to my three year old granddaughter. The blocks will also be great for free play construction. I will update my review once the kids get the blocks to play with but at this stage I see this kit as a valuable addition to my toy library based on its versatility and quality and highly recommend it.
