Soooo here is my experience with Lasership. This was my very first time dealing with this company and because of the thousands of negative reviews (thank God I look up and read reviews for every company I deal with no matter the situation) I prepared myself for a potential let down. I soon realized that I couldn't expect greatness or anything close to that level of service with Lasership so I started thinking of how I could minimize the amount of work I needed them to do.
Let me start from the beginning... I ordered some shoes on Nike.com and they shipped them via Lasership. Since I've never heard of this company I looked them up and the negative reviews flooded my search page so I was instantly worried. How could a company, as big as Nike, use a company with such low standards and obvious, consistent mishaps. I knew that the worse thing that would happen would be that I would end up being refunded but I didn't want that... I wanted my product. I had some other shoes coming in from Goat and they use UPS so what I normally do is ask them to hold it at the location because I live in an apt complex and there have been plenty of times where they couldnt find my apt and I'd have to wait for a re-delivery or end up picking it up from the local hub anyways so I just proactively ask them to hold it regardless. So thats what I attempted to do with Lasership. First I tried to use the virtual assistant that they have on their webpage and that was a complete failure. I literally asked the virtual assistant a very simple question that almost all delivery companies hear, "Can I pickup my package" and the assistant says "Sorry I don't understand that". From that point I knew that I had to work alot harder, smh. I've attached screenshots if you dont believe me. It was very difficult for me to find their customer service number and it was a local number not an 800 number. I called and spoke with a woman to place the request. She kept trying to hang up the phone every time I asked her to send me an email confirmation of the request to hold my package. After the 3rd attempt she finally sent it and I got off the phone. I had to scour the internet to find their local office... for me it was in Doral, Fl (Miami). I found it and I tried to call the office on 2 separate occasions and no one ever answered which actually wasnt an issue for me because at this point I was starting to understand that bad customer service was Lasership's theme. So I drove to their location, which was an hour away from me. I got there and it was super slow there which puzzled me as to why no one was able to answer the phone but I digress. I spoke with the receptionist, who by the way was very nice and helpful which is why I'm giving them 2 stars. I've read tons of reviews that state how the things that seem to get "lost" the most are sneakers and items from Sephora. The receptionist asked me what type of item I was expecting (I didn't realize that mattered because I've never been asked that at FEDEX, USPS or UPS) and even though I knew that I was getting sneakers I told her that I didn't know what I was getting. She kept pressing me as to what I was getting and then she finally asks "Are you getting sneakers" but I kept saying I'm not sure what it was. Living in South Florida there is an insane amount of scamming going on because everyone is trying to live that Miami/South Beach lifestyle so I didn't want her to know what I was expecting just in case she went to the back, found my box and knew that it was something that she could resell and then told me that my package had been "lost". When she looked up my tracking number she said that the package had just arrived but there were no notes on the order, even though I spoke with customer service and I had an email showing that "my request had been received". She said that they were backed up (just like every other delivery service due to covid) and that there were thousands of packages in the warehouse. She actually got up and went to physically go find my package. I was honestly expecting her to say that she couldnt find it and that I should come back... I was ready for confrontation, basically. Thankfully she found my package and I went home a happy camper. So, my advice to you would be to be proactive and call ahead to have them hold your package there and just go pick it up. Yeah it might be a drive but I'd rather do that then to be dealing with customer service from 2 different companies that will take days to possibly resolve and all you will get is your money back. For me I didn't want my money back because I wouldnt be able to reorder my sneakers because they're sold out which is why I bit the bullet and took the drive. These people are paid per package delivered, not an hourly rate, and not very much which is why they are so careless. If the item you're receiving is important then do what I did but if not then I guess you could roll the dice and wait to see if it ever gets delivered but you can't say you weren't warned.
