We booked a 3 night stay in Paris. A day prior to departure we still hadn’t received our tickets. We chased and chased (via email, live chat and telephone) and were told someone would get back to us within the next 5 minutes. No one ever did.
6 hours AFTER our train had departed someone contacted us to rebook our package. We had no option but to agree to the change as were going for a wedding, but lost a full day of our holiday. This would constitute a significant change in the context of a 3 day holiday but nothing has been offered.
Prior to departure we were disconnected on live chat, faced a wall of unhelpful frontline service, were provided contradictory information, were provided false information, no attempts to contact us were made. We were fobbed off, lied to and made to wait resulting in little sleep as we were promised tickets overnight which never came.
Not only would I not recommend booking through LM due to their awful customer service (which is a result of how the company is set up, rather than it being the fault of the poor underpaid individuals working on the frontlines and having to toe the company line), but because I suspect their behaviour is most likely illegal and that companies who behave this way are usually in the death-throws of their final few months of operating.
