I am so disgruntled and disappointed with the Leekes Store.
I purchased a dinner table set on 03-01-2015 and paid the full price for it. I also purchased another smaller table and the after care 5 year cover worth £120. Due to circumstances beyond my control I have had to cancel the order on 09/01/2014 at which point I was informed by store manager Jon, from the Coventry store that I will incur a charge- 20% of the final amount on the receipt which is £1033.00. I pointed out that the goods had not been delivered yet and he told me that the goods could be ready for delivery on 10/01/2015 but I told him that the earliest delivery date was 13/01/2015 at which point he said they could charge me for more - even the storage as this was outside the 5day window. I feel that this is grossly I unfair trading as the cancellation/cooling off period is only 5days unlike and other stores which are 7, 14, 21, 28 days. According to Jon, the 20% cancellation will cover the delivery charge even though the goods have not been delivered and the after care cover which has not even commenced. The goods were due to be delivered on 14/01/2014. I feel this is day- light robbery as I have to lose my hard earned cash amounting to £206 for the goods that I didn't even receive. I didn't sign any contract to say I agree with their terms and conditions.
I must admit, I liked a lot of their products and their quality. I was hoping to do some future shopping at their stores but following this experience will not be setting my foot to any of their stores again.
