Firstly my name is Brian Anderson writing this Google review for and on behalf of my 87 year Old Mother. I would like to give a factual review on Mr Ian M.F.Ross Managing Director of “LIFESTYLE GLASS DESIGN” My Mother saw and advert in the Daily Mail news paper show casing a sunroom she asked me to help her with any quotes, we invited Mr Ross to give us a quote and much to my regret I did not do a thorough search on his company as only afterwards did we find out about this page full of unsatisfied customers like my Mother with the same theme running through the reviews. Full of false promises on the build time scale,demanding money upfront in stages with no materials delivered even Santander Bank stopping and asking for more verification on this Company. Eventually materials were delivered and a wooden floor base was installed the area was 5meters by 4meters. The wood was not treated and just placed into the Earth this was my first point that I thought that’s not right,the floor height of the ground at its highest point is 12 inches and at the front where the glass doors are and to the side almost 8 inches of the ground. Mum wanted to cover the stone wall with wet wall sheeting which they ended up trying to put up and to my Mums dismay it was warped and damaged to the point of a two feet score down one of the panels. At various times during the build Mr Ross contacted my Mum to clear up any problems that we were having with the construction which in the end was not what we agreed ,but he never turned up to look over the build!!! As the whole family was now angry and frustrated how my Mother was being treated and how it was affecting her health and well-being we stepped in to help her. They demanded £2300 and a strongly worded letter asking for more money for ridiculous add on’s totalling almost another £600 on the final payment .we have refused payment off this as the build is still not finished my Mother has a two foot drop of the front of the Sun Room which breaches building regulations along with the incorrect drainage and incorrect type of foundations . We have had a survey from a Technical Surveyor and have a report of the faults that break all local Building regulations in West Lothian. So Mr Ross has written two letters demanding payment before they finish the build , we have told them finish the build to comply with the regulations but they refuse. So as a family we are angry and totally disappointed with the service offered by LIFESTYLE GLASS DESIGN and the totally lack of integrity of Mr Ross. My Mother has agreed to this review and all information is factual and correct I only hope you are reading this before ordering any products from this company as I would highly recommend you look elsewhere . ◦
