The lights look really nice along one wall of the dining room and lounge and look shimmery/silky rather than papery. The only slight disappointment was that one of the bulbs had a bare wire with no plastic holder so the shade would not clip on to it and my husband had to modify it. It still works but doesn't hang quite in line with the other shades
