Ordered some Festoon lights (60 Meters) on 24th November in preparation for a party I was hosting on 18th December, I thought plenty of time
Originally I had them listed for delivery to my PO Box to ensure safe and easy delivery, the owner then emailed me and said they use a courier rather than australia post for larger orders (presumably cheaper for them) - so I provided my work address
Two delivery “attempts” (they didn’t attempt, but claimed to) later, I get another email asking for a different address, once again, I comply and provide another address
By this time the owner was aware of the requirement of them arriving by 18th December - I flag that they seek to be lost as the package was not moving on tracking and I get a response “ I want to assure you that your package has not been lost.” followed by “ I understand the urgency of your situation, as you are hosting a party this weekend. Rest assured, I am doing everything possible to ensure your festoons are delivered immediately.”
Well, low and behold, even with me offering to collect from a depot myself, I now have no festoon lights for my event, and unable to arrange others in this period of time, so the space is completely ruined thanks to the incompetence of this company and them not valuing customers enough to pay for quality shipping, instead choosing the cheapest method possible
To say I am disappointed is an understatement - this company has single handed ruined my event for 50+ people.
The icing on the cake? No compensation offered, not “still take the lights and we’ll give you half of the price refunded as a gesture we are sorry” - just a cold and heartless email where they pass blame onto others and say there’s nothing they can do.
Do yourself a favour and purchase from a more trustworthy company
