I was happy with the result. After using the LOGO.com interface to design a logo, I was able to download and store it free of charge. Other sites that claimed to be free for designing logos let you design them, then offer to sell you the rights to use them - very deceptive advertising. During the process of downloading two versions of the logo I created, LOGO.com did offer to sell other services such as domain name registration, but the logos themselves were free, and they are stored on the logo.com website in case I want to edit them in the future..
