When I smashed my phone's screen on the bathroom floor at work, I knew I'd have to get it fixed immediately as a piece of glass had already embedded itself into my thumb. Initially I was wary; I had heard many nightmare reports from phone repair shops, even in central London where I was, and so I took to Google to find somewhere within walking distance. Lovefone was only a five-minute walk from work, reasonably priced compared to many other shops (charging £100+ for an iPhone 5s repair!), and they had a fantastic online appointment booking system. As luck would have it, they had a slot bang on my lunchtime that day. I gave my details, booked my appointment, and set off less than two hours later. Lovefone was easy to find and looked incredibly clean, funky and well organised. There was a small group of trendy looking fellows behind the counter, all beavering away fixing various smartphones and tablets. The lady on the front desk was happy and friendly; she took my phone, gave me a numbered card and said it would only be 15-20 minutes before my phone was ready. Amazed, I still took closer to 40 minutes to leave the shop, run some other errands, and return. Picking up was simple - I handed over the numbered card, got back a brand new-looking version of my phone with a lovely clean screen, paid by Debit card and left. Seeing as I have a habit of smashing my phone this year, I'll be sure to use Lovefone again the next time I attempt to put it in my pocket before it eats the ground (I should get insurance, I know).
