I bought into the lupe cordless vacuum through Kickstarter, and generally have been very pleased with it. It certainly sucks up all the very fine dust that seems to coat the Victorian house that we've recently moved into - as well as collect the pet hair which seems to be absolutely everywhere. This initially caused a problem for my wife as all the fur and hair tended to collect around the conical filters which are at the heart of the design: they don't fall to the bottom of the bin when the power is turned off. I figured therefore, that I would help matters by buying a new bin and a spare set of the filters such that rather than spend time emptying the bin and removing the tangle around the filters, it would be easier for her to just remove the bin (complete with filters) and replace it with another complete (clean) set. Whilst the price of the spare parts isn't extortionate, they're not cheap: however, the quality is very good - and lupe do ship their spares orders very rapidly! I'm not sure how they're going to be able to make the vacuum's motor "whine" rather less annoying/irritating than it is - I really hope they can come up with a retro-fitable silencer for their early models. That, and a longer hose would make the lupe a "real belter" of a vacuum cleaner!!
