The Lupe Pure worked very well even with heavy carpet. I love it. The reason for one docked star is because the purpose of bristle brush is to collect hair, to which it did. However, when hair started to be collected toward the sides it started to melt the twist cap. I had melted hairs and plastic coming through that twist cap. All in all, the vacuum worked great.
