Went to Belfast for the day with friends on a flight at 07:00. Left Watford at 05:00. New link road with very slow speed limit moves the traffic past the site of the old roundabout saving time, but this has now moved the congestion a mile and a half nearer the airport and clogged the approach road. Having parked, we saw a bus approaching the adjacent bus stop, only to see a sign on it saying "Sorry - Bus full". Stood in bus stop for same bus to return, driver sensibly indicated that we could get on as it went into the car park so that we didn't get left behind again. Due to clogged approach road we crawled our way up the hill and finally arrived in the terminal at 5:50 more than 20 minutes after arrival in the car park. For this we paid the princely sum of £19 as I had neglected to book more than 48 hours ahead. The automatic number plate readers didn't work, either going in or coming out, but then I am used to this at Luton where they have never worked in either the mid term or long term car parks whenever I have used them over several years. Added to the fact that it costs £2.50 just to drop off a passenger at LTN the experience as a motorist is lamentable.
