I had booked my flight to Mumbai with AI via Lycafly, six months before my scheduled departure. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred just before my flight date, and I contacted Lycafly to find out about my options. The representative informed me that my flight had not been cancelled yet, and if it was cancelled, I wouldn't be entitled to a refund. They advised me to cancel my flight to receive a partial refund for the flight tax. However, I later found out that this advice was wrong. Had I not cancelled my flight and AI cancelled it, I would have been entitled to a full refund. The flight was eventually cancelled by AI, which Lycafly had expected. I only received a part of the partial refund that I was promised by Lycafly, and I have been chasing payment of £117.27 for the remaining amount. I have sent at least six emails and made countless calls to follow up, but I have not received any response from Lycafly. The last person I spoke to was Mark Jones, also known as Dushyant Mudgal. He promised to get back to me in 10 working days, but it has been six months since then, and I have not received any response, even after CC'ing him on emails. It is important to note that Lycafly did not cancel my flight, and they received a full refund, but only gave me a part of the partial refund that I was promised. This has been a pricey lesson. I would avoid this travel agent as they are CROOKS.
