I have been a MacKenzie customer for several years. I have made it a reliable Christmas gift to one family member that loves beef and they have always been delighted by the quality of the selections. That is until this year. I sent the surf and turf dinner for 2. The filet mignon was rancid. Now anything can happen to a food shipment especially during the busy holiday season. When it was reported to Mackenzie the customer service representative was lovely and very apologetic about the mishap. But my concern is that it took several emails and another phone call to remedy the situation. 2 replacement steaks were sent, I feel that since the gift was a surf and turf dinner for two, the entire meal should have been replaced or refunded. Can you imagine eating the full meal after biting into a rancid piece of beef? I'm not sure I have confidence in your company any longer, and this is unfortunate.
