Six stars: What more can I say? Please read my review. MacMan: Having bought my first Mac Pro (refurbed) some four years ago, it developed a problem: in that it wouldn’t fire up, without defaulting to a change password screen. After becoming aware of MacMan by driving past some months before, I decided to give them a call. The guy I spoke to explained the booking in procedure for an appointment on the website along with the diagnostic fee, of which 50% is refundable after repairs. On booking in my MacPro, I spoke to Ryan, who carefully and succinctly went through the problems with it, and in terms that I could understand easily along with what my options were: namely, i) the SSD needed replacing, ii) the battery and/or the related drives were also problematical and recommended replacement, or removal? As a new battery would take 3-4 days to arrive I elected to go for removal, as I needed to report on an event I was covering, and needed my Mac returned urgently. Ryan went on to ask that I dropped in a storage device to back up my Mac before the SSD was replaced, which I duly arranged. Whilst leaving my Mac with MacMan for a week was a bit’ve a wrench, Ryan and his colleagues were professional, analytical, succinct all the way through the process. I’d happily recommend MacMan for their professionalism, timeliness, prognosis, recommendations and review of available options.
