I use Marriner DK to make toys and blankets. Hermitage DK, which comes in lots of lovely colour-changing mixtures, is great for scarves, gloves and hats (even a dragon bag). I have used Aran to make the loveliest toddler jackets - it's robust and warm and comes in great colours.
