OMF54681059- Refusal to Refund
I recently returned three items to Matchesfasion and was only refunded for two. Further investigation revealed that I had forgotten to tick all three boxes of the online return form. I subsequently phoned Matchesfashion to explain that the item had indeed been in the parcel. They dragged their feet and after phoning them almost daily over a period of two weeks, they finally claimed they were conducting an investigation. Another week elapsed and I had to chase them with several more phone calls, after which Karim, their senior customer care official, finally wrote to let me know that they would NOT be refunding me. Without providing any plausible evidence that the missing item had not been returned, he unilaterally closed the case.
I have subsequently written to him twice, but he has ignored my emails.
I would like to ask Karim why he thinks someone in my economic bracket would take the time and trouble to phone daily, write no fewer than three lengthy emails to customer care and now write this review? The reason, very simply Karim, is that I feel deeply wronged and aggrieved.
I personally packed the returns parcel in question and sealed it myself. I personally returned it to DHL, who subsequently proved that they did not tamper with the parcel.
Matchesfashion believes the customer is always WRONG.
Matchesfashion steals its customers' money. Matchesfashion does not keep to its promise to refund returns.
Matchesfashion refuses to admit that the problem lies within.
I will never again shop at Matchesfashion, and I suggest you don't either
