We wanted a simple no frills machine that makes good filter coffee. This fits the bill perfectly. We have used Melitta for over 20 years, they are the best. Only criticism is the flimsy build and cheap plastic, sadly that's the case with nearly everything made in 'China' and it will probably only last a couple of years.
