I received this sofa bed in a compact box and put it together myself (single woman without power tools). While putting it together, I was initially frustrated by the difficulty in getting the small screws to fit into some of the holes in the support bars, and thought I needed power tools to complete the job, but I just happened to try a more sturdy Phillips head screwdriver in my toolkit and that did the trick perfectly. It took probably 2-3 hours total for me to assemble (the instructions aren't necessarily the clearest in terms of orientation of the bars/pieces), but I was able to do so fine. Keeping in mind that I have an average body frame and not the strongest arm muscles, the fact that I was able to put this together using only the tools provided plus a Phillips head screwdriver should give you some indication of whether it's reasonable for you to expect to do the same.
