I’ve had a Moérie subscription since January, always billed in AUD. Recently I was shown an upsell ad for a supplement in USD — completely inconsistent with my usual pricing. I tapped the image to read more, but my card was charged instantly, with no checkout or confirmation. The pills were advertised at 50% off, but I was charged what read as the USD full price, but turns out it was just converted into AUD without any form of communication or confirmation from me to go ahead. The pills aren’t even listed on Moérie’s website, at least not in Australia, so I couldn’t check ingredients before buying. I later found them via another retailer and confirmed they contain ingredients unsuitable for me. Despite the order being unintentional and misleading, Moérie refused a full refund unless I paid return shipping. The pills even arrived before my regular subscription order (which I placed earlier), raising questions about their fulfilment process. Customer service ignored key issues, relied on generic policies, and only replied when I followed up multiple times. I ended up winning a chargeback through my bank and have reported them to the ACCC. My advice: avoid this company — their pricing, transparency, and handling of customer issues are unacceptable.
