My dogs love their sheepy wool beds! The quality of the filling and the slipcover are far better than that of other dog beds we have tried over the years. The slipcover is not only attractive but also durable and washable. (Do NOT machine wash and dry the wool bed.) Keep in mind that the cover, though durable, is not indestructible. Wait until your pup is out of the teething stage. I found out the hard way about a year ago when I purchased my first cover, that the zipper and piping are too much of a temptation for a puppy. I also tried stuffing that first XL slipcover with old blankets, etc. It worked ok and it was nice to repurpose old textiles. But now I am so glad that purchased the wool beds this time. They stay fluffy and do not flatten like polyester fiberfill, plus they are cooler than fiberfill or foam.
