I think Ian was a good instructor, as he was patient and allowed me to realise my mistakes, so in a way, I felt as if I taught myself, and it made me more confident. Plus he gave useful advice, never gloated or mocked as other instructors have done. I honestly can't think of any bad points (aside from the car breaking down, which was no-ones fault). I passed on my 6th attempt, but if I had been learning with momentum from the start, I would of passed 2nd or third. But it's just luck at finding the best instructor for you really.
