Customer service is appalling. I returned an order which they acknowledged receipt of but never sent a refund. I have now sent 12 emails over the last 7 weeks and provided all the evidence that they requested but still no refund.
Their response is always the same: providing proof of a refund for a previous order several weeks earlier (I have placed a total of 3 orders with Motea). Whenever they ask them to provide evidence of the refund that I am disputing, they have not been able to. Emails have now become rude and unprofessional. They have now said that they are not pursuing this any further and are ending communication... but I am still 900 Euros out of pocket.
As the company is based in Germany and the UK has left the EU, it is very difficult to pursue Motea through the small claims court. I also had to pay import VAT and duties on the items - something that I was expecting but it could have been included/calculated in the price to make the process smoother (but this is a different matter).
Conclusion: Avoid this company, especially if you are in the UK. The quality of the products is substandard hence the need to return items in the first place.
