I expected the trip to be lengthier than it was, as the service said "multiple passenger pickup"; which explains the cheaper price for the shuttle service. When the driver arrived, early, the van was empty and he informed me that I was his only passenger for the evening. So I arrived at SFO much earlier than anticipated and that's a good thing considering TSA, et al. Better early than late, for sure!
