Purchased new set of covers for sofa and footstool. All fine when purchasing, completely different story on collection of covers. They were huge!!! I immediately got in touch with Multiyork customer services, explained the problem and was told to email my Newbury store where they were purchased from. I emailed and sent various pictures.
After several emails and phone calls I was told it was our fault as we had not fitted them properly. I explained this was not our first set and we did know how to fit them and spent a great deal of time and effort trying to make them look half decent. I then asked for someone to come and fit them if it was our fault and was told this would cost me £90.00! I obviously refused and after further emails was told someone would come and check them which they did and told us they were indeed not right.
I then had to make more phone calls to check what the next step was and was told they would do a refit and leave a replacement sofa. When I tried to arrange this I was told it would be approx six weeks as they had a large waiting list for a replacement sofa, not a great advert for multi york. By this time I was so stressed with it all I said we will go without a replacment just get it sorted. They collected it and several phone calls and three weeks later it is back with us. It is better than it was but to be honest it is still does not as Multiyork say "fit like a glove".
I will never ever use this company again so much stress and worry through no fault of our own. At the end of the day the least they could have done was own up to the bad fit in the first instance which would have saved so much time and worry. Multi York just did not want know, they were unhelpful and defensive, and just seemed to hope that we would go away and stop disturbing them.
