I love almost everything about My Food Bag - it is wonderful to learn so many new plant-based recipes. We have been semi-vegan for years, but still had much to learn - I never had thought of roasting beans and chickpeas for instance. Your meals have so many different flavors and textures that add to the overall wow factor. Even my picky eater likes almost all the meals. 2 of us are not fans of mushrooms, so I wish there was a way for us to avoid those, which is partially why I'm only giving you a 4/5 rating. The other reason is the packaging...We have been trying to eliminate plastic packaging as much as possible, but took a giant step backward when we signed up for My Food Bag. Soft plastic is not recycled AT ALL in Taranaki, and there are only a handful of individuals that recycle polypropylene (I make soap dishes out of it - see my photo). So, while during lockdown we have gotten weekly orders from My Food Bag, we will be decreasing the frequency of our orders significantly now, because the waste is so heartbreaking.
