Two incidents this year:
1. May 2020 Ordered a cordless lawnmower from Amazon £200+. Delivery was to be by Hermes. Never arrived. Informed Amazon who re-shipped. Arrived OK.
2. Dec 2020. John Lewis accidentally shipped us 12 maps instead of 1 (over £20 each so £200+ over despatched). Contacted JL who booked collection by Hermes between 8 and 8 on a specific date. Hermes didn't turn up (we were in all day). Next day it was impossible to communicate with Hermes via website, chatbot or phone. For each one they wanted a tracking number - There wasn't one, obviously, as they hadn't collected the return. No sign of Hermes (in person, phone, text, email...) the following day.
When everything is OK, they're fine - slightest problem and they are hopeless.
