Item left on doorstep. Yes, they even took a photo of it but unfortunately that doesn’t help when no one is home!
Email I received this morning clearly stated that if no one was home Hermes would attempt delivery the following day.
I have not allocated a safe place - and if I had it certainly wouldn’t be outside the door.
I’m not back until this evening so whether it’s there or not is down to fate - and the honesty of any passers by.
Who just leaves a parcel on a doorstep and then drives off?
