Tracking said my parcel would be delivered at a specific time and date. Waited in and when the allocated time had passed checked the tracking when it said ‘there appears to have been a problem trying to deliver your parcel’. Could find any contact details for Hermes other than an online chat so I started one, when I asked where my parcel was this was their reply ‘ ‘I can see the courier was unable to gain access to enter the place and there is restriction on access at this address like access code requirements, non availability of parking or paid parking, presence of ferocious animals like dogs, I request you please provide us with access code and telephone number to share with the courier’. An absolute lie, we live in a residential area, no parking restrictions, large drive with no gates so access simple, we do not own or do any of our neighbours a ferocious animal. I then requested parcel be left with neighbour the next day as we would be out, where did the silly courier leave it...on the front door step in the pouring rain and in full view of pedestrians. I emailed the company I lurched the goods from and strongly complained about Hermes. I also gave a bad survey and will not this dreadful company or any other supplier that uses them, liars from the online chat to the courier.
