The first time Hermes delivered my parcel to completely the wrong address (not even a similar street name or door number) - they rang me to try to get me to go and collect it myself. It was gardening supplies from Amazon and a lot of it, so I refused.
They told me it could take up to a fortnight to collect and redeliver. I said it wasn't my problem. So they rang the house it had been delivered to and told the resident it would be with him for up to a fortnight unless he wanted to bring it to me himself. He did. That's Hermes.
Today I was due a parcel and stood at the front of the house during the time slot. The phone pinged to tell me it had been left in an outbuilding. This isn't true. There is only one entrance and no van arrived. I immediately rang Hermes but I can only listen to their automated assistant who tells me it has been left in my safe place (I have no safe place registered with Hermes) and that they have a photo to prove. There is no photo. There's also no way to talk to a human unless they want to contact you.
So I've been forced to put this back onto the retailer (who are not to blame) because Hermes are so bad.
Given the opportunity (when shopping it doesn't always say who the courier is) I will never use Hermes again. This is another wasted day.
