Shocking service. Sent a table lamp to North East England. The item could not have been better protected with lots of bubble- wrap and an extremely sturdy box which was covered in red ‘Fragile’ tape. However the lamp was delivered damaged beyond repair in many pieces. The buyer acknowledged to me that there was not a problem with the packing but commented that the box was badly ‘bashed’. This was obviously carelessness and rough handling on the part of Hermes. I contacted ‘Interparcel’ who advised me that they would take the matter up with Hermes but I have heard nothing. I will not use Hermes again. In the circumstances, I would have expected a refund on the cost of the item.
