No collection, impossible to contact - avoid
Hermes are impossible to contact when something goes wrong. I sell on eBay and have used Hermes a few times now to deliver items. Some of the time they arrive without problems but more often than not I have issues and zero communication when something goes wrong, like the parcel being very late.
Recently, I have been trying to contact them concerning some important documents I want to send via tracked delivery. I had a collection scheduled a week ago and the tracking says 'We don't have it' - of course not, you haven't been to collect it! I have had deliveries from Hermes but because of contact-free deliveries, haven't been able to ask the courier about my collection. I have tried to contact Hermes by phone, live chat and social media (Twitter), but I have been unable to get through to a person because the system doesn't recognise the tracking barcode. My tweets have been ignored.
I recognise that we are living in difficult circumstances with the current COIVD-19 situation, but this isn't good enough.The new website seems to have been rushed through and is very glitchy, which adds to the frustration of using their service.
I will be using another courier from now on and reccomend others do the same!
