Please note - I'f I could leave a review with no stars, THAT would still be too much! This was the first time of using HERMES UK and I have to say the process of completing the order to deliver a package to London was smooth. No issues there. I dropped off the package at a Hermes drop-off point and that is when things took a turn for the worst! That was Monday 15th June 2020. I paid for next day delivery. On Tuesday, the recipient was in ready and waiting to collect. The Hermes system then updated the tracking to advise there had been a delay. The next update was Friday 19th June 20. There was a note that the parcel was being returned to me as the recipient had refused delivery. On contacting the recipient, I was advised that they had no delivery and would have not refused it had it been brought to them at the designated address. I sent a message to Hermes, asking what went wrong. I received the following message, "I am so sorry that there’s been a delay to your delivery and I apologize for delay in response. I've checked and can see that the parcel was refused by someone at the delivery address and the parcel is currently on it’s way to the sender. If this is not the case please accept my apology on the behalf of the courier." So either it had been refused or not! Anyway it is now Wednesday 24th June and the last update was the package was out for delivery with a courier on Monday 22nd June ONLY to be updated for Delivery on Tuesday 23rd. On Tuesday I checked the tracking and late on there was an update to advise at 17:49hrs, "We're sorry your parcel has been delayed, we'll have it on the move in the next 24 hours" Well it is now 19:22hrs on Wednesday 24th June and still no change to the delivery status and still no delivery today! It is now 10 days later and I am at a loss as to when I will receive my parcel back. This is my first time using HERMES UK and I have to say the First Impression is really POOR! I will have no hesitation to advise friends and family and my work place NEVER to use HERMES UK and will be sharing this on social media to highlight the BAD SERVICE, in the hope that others think twice about using the service or LACK OF SERVICE as the case may be. ************************UPDATE************************** So at the time of adding this update, my parcel has now been confirmed by HERMES as being lost in their system, and they can not locate it. That appears to be the end of the matter from them. I can only assume that the courier didn't make any attempt to deliver the package as the recipient was waiting all day for the next day delivery and no one arrived and no card was left. HERMES system was updated to confirm recipient refused the parcel, (Not true). The parcel was last scanned on the way back to me after allegedly being sent to a wrong depot, on 26th June 20. And NOW HERMES confirm the parcel is not able to be located!!! So not only does their courier appear to be dishonest, but so does the whole organisation. My parcel has no doubt been stolen! I WOULD STEAR CLEAR OF THESE COWBOYS! *****************************************************************
