Whether you get good service or not from Hermes, or even whether your expected parcel is actually delivered to you, depends entirely on which individual Hermes courier covers your area. Hermes were a reliable courier company but that has completely changed during the last few years, and it is getting worse. There are many thieves working as Hermes couriers, who not only steal items but then lie and fabricate false delivery details to "prove" that the items were delivered. Some of them do eventually get caught and are fired by Hermes. Many are taken to court and receive heavy fines and/or prison sentences. By that time though they have stolen many hundreds or thousands of pounds worth of goods and many customers have lost money, sometimes individual customers lose hundreds of pounds. These customers find it impossible to obtain refunds or compensation from Hermes and eventually, angry and frustrated, they just have to give up. It seems that the regulation of courier companies in the UK is practically non-existent. Just do a Google search for "Hermes courier stole", or "Hermes complaints" or "Hermes reviews" - you will be astounded by the numbers involved. The company should be wound up and its Directors banned from ever being allowed to run any company in the future. The Government is fully aware of the problems with Hermes but are unable or unwilling to do anything about it. The company is a national disgrace.
