The hire van was not delivered to the address and no information given it had been delivered nearby even though they had the full address and my phone number. After going through 3 phone calls to locate the van it meant I left my address almost and hour and a half after I was supposed to which put me behind schedule meaning I could not make my new storage lock up in time. In calling up to ask for an extension from 8:30am to 12pm (on Saturday) due to this delay I was told I could either have the van extension until 10am (so only 20mins extra as I didn’t manage to get into the vehicle the day before until 9:40 as it was not delivered at 8:30 as requested) or pay for another day BUT this would only take me until 12pm so essentially over £200 for 2 hours. As the van was packed I had to pay for the “extra 24 hours” but asked for this to be a whole 24 hours opposed to 2 hours and was told the van had to be collected at 12pm. As of 16:00 today (Sunday - so a whole 30hours after it “had to be collected” the van is still where I left it). I am outraged by the charge of over £200 for an extra 2 hours when my hire was substantially impacted by the late delivery of the van which I had to locate myself through 3 phone calls. The fact the van was still there last time I checked earlier today is even more ridiculous. I would not use them again and do not recommend you do.
