I was previously feeding Dougies and it made my dog very unwell with black foul smelling diarea which the vet said could be caused by many serious health conditions. He was having numerous accidents in the house. We had him booked for tests but happened to have a sample pack of Naturaw that I had added onto an order from another wholesaler. On the off chance I tried my dog on it and instantly he was back to normal. Stool was exactly how a raw fed dog would be, no more gas or accidents in the house. I have kept him on this since and he’s doing brilliantly, stool is minimal and the food is also not full of water - I can tell due to my dog drinking more than he used to and the food not being sloppy/bloody. The only thing I would say is that some of the recipes are just too high in fat - for example the lamb has double the amount of fat than protein when it should be the other way round. Too much fat in the diet can cause problems with hormones and inflammation etc just the same as too little fat. Most of the forage recipes are also too high in fat. My dog has allergies and I find it strange that there isn’t a single protein beef recipe offered which leaves me really limited to just 3 recipes, one which is too high in fat so there definitely needs to be more variety. Also offering rabbit would be an excellent addition as it’s a brilliant natural protein for dogs, not high in saturated fat and not farmed the way beef/poultry is. Other than that my dog does love this food and doesn’t turn his nose up like he has at others. The delivery/dispatch time has been great.
