Haven't used these myself, but my son uses them for cyclocross and we have found them to be good on mixed mud/grass courses. Slightly less impressive on tarmac and cobbles.
Mainly though, I think they are excellent value for money. A set of Rocket Rons would almost certainly be better for the courses round here, but we do cross for fun and only plan to do five or six meets this season, so I can't justify the extra.
