boier fitted 16/01/2017 after weeks of problems with this newly fitted boiler. now the boiler is showing fault codes on display unit (f-29) etc etc vaillant engineer came out to fix problem vaillant engineer informed me that the system was not flushed when boiler was fitted so because of this the pump is not working. vaillant engineer fixed problem and told me to contact northern gas heating and tell them that the system needs re flushing. on contacting northern gas and informing them of this problem they have given me the excuse that the system in the house is over 30 years old and it needs a power flush which my 89 year old father would have to pay for in excess of £300 +. now bearing in mind when the surveyor came out to inspect the property and to see if the property was suitable for this particular boiler he never mentioned anything about the system being to old and may need a power flush. also the system has only been in the property for around 13 years and i know this because i was the person who had the central heated fitted into the property.
I am still waiting for a response from northern gas heating as to what they plan to do about this problem as there is a 89 year old gentleman in the property who has no heating or hot water. if northern gas heating would have informed us that this problem may have occured then we would have just left the old boiler in the property as it was working and at least my father would have heating and hot water. the whole situation is a total disgrace.and so very disappointing
