The arrogance, & the laziness by Norwegian Air.
10 of us flying from difference part of the world, joined our local friend in Stockholm for the mid summer festival, I needed to return to London couple of days earlier for an emergency, so arrived at STO airport 8am for a 10.15am flight, as knowing that most of airlines are able to have date change their own flights, and the check in desk would close around 9.15am.
The Norwegian Air Counter told me to call London ticket agent to change my ticket, but the UK agency office wouldn’t open even when checking desk closed at 8.15am UK time.
Having worked in an airlines central London office for 6 years & knowing that 99.9% airlines can change but the exception was Norwegian Air & the answer was a NO, when I asked them to buy an extra ticket for the flight, she said that the flight was fully booked, she could sell a 5pm ticket, therefore a whole day wasted, as well as a return ticket.
Living and working in 4 countries, 3 continents, feeling powerless, speechless, frustrated, stressful while staying at the airport all day. Clearly I could see the arrogance, and the staff’s laziness, possibly caused by good welfare of the country.
北欧人的傲慢和惰性在今年6月去瑞典的时候领教过, 几个朋友相约去了斯德哥尔摩, 因故需要提前返回伦敦, 早上9点到了斯德哥尔摩机场挪威航空, 柜台让我电话英国代理改期, 因1小时时差英国的8点代理还没上班, 而45分钟之后值机柜台将关闭之前代理还是没上班, 挪威航空坚持不给改. 曾在航空公司伦敦营业部工作了6年的我知道99.99%的航空公司都能改自己航班, 操作也是非常简单, 貌似唯一例外的挪威航空硬是逼着我重新买了SAS傍晚回伦敦的航班, 于是在机场浪费了整整一天时间和半张机票, 感叹北欧人的傲, 行程中多次看到他们因福利好产生的整体的惰性。
