There's nothing I hate more than companies who advertise products they don't even have in stock. I ordered a Quad preamp and paid £10.00 extra for next day delivery. By 2pm the next day I'd received no email to say the product had been dispatched and called Nottingham HiFi to enquire on the order status. He took my order number and said he'd call be back in 20 minutes. By 5pm he'd not called back and I called again. I was told they didn't have it in stock and they'd contacted Quad to have it delivered directly from them, and it would be with me on Monday. Yes I said, but I ordered it for Friday because I'm not in on Monday... His response... Oh it probably wont be there on Monday anyway, it'll be Tuesday! Tuesday comes, and I get another email, not from Quad, but from Nottingham HiFi to say my order 'is being made ready for dispatch.' Clearly they'd lied and hadn't passed it to Quad for direct dispatch from them and I clearly won't receive it on Tuesday either, the only day I'm in that week. I don't appreciate being lied to and this company clearly have issues with customer service and fulfilling orders. I've used Nottingham HiFi for the first and last time.
