Colin
Having purchased my furniture I popped back into the store and noticed that the two cupboard units, the small and the large were of different heights by 30mm. I am a design engineer myself and I cannot conceive of a designer making two pieces of matching furniture which can and do in many cases go side by side or at least very close together. This to me and every one I have spoken to agree that an idiot would not do this. Even if the majority of sales are individual why would someone design a matching piece of furniture less than one and a quarter inches lower than its matching counterpart. I didn't check to see if you have done this with other styles but if you have then you must surely get rid of your designer or give him a reality pill. I was and am happy with my furniture because I have got two pieces of oak and polished them to match the colour and put the unit on these. I have not fixed them to the furniture as this would have made my guarantee null and void but I feel that if your designers had done there job right I would not have had to do this. Do not try to tell me that it was deliberately designed this way so that it would "look right" as it looked WRONG. The reason it is not spotted in the store is that the mirror is at a height to take the eye away and also surrounded by lots of other furniture all of different heights. I would be interested to find out if many people have mentioned this or do they think that You know better???!!!!
