I purchased a dining table and chairs set around four years ago, which came with a warranty/coverage plan. Recently, the base board of one of my dining chairs was damaged, and I submitted a claim for a replacement, which should be covered under my warranty.
As part of the process, I was asked to provide a picture of the damaged part. Unfortunately, I didn't have a photo. After several follow-up emails, my claim was ultimately rejected due to the lack of a picture.
I then visited Oakland store in my city to try to purchase a replacement base board. However, I was told that they only sell the seat base boards in a pack of four for £120. Since I only need one, this was not a practical solution.
The store staff took my order number and claim number, and they confirmed that my warranty should cover the replacement even without the photo. They also said they would follow up with the insurance company on my behalf. Despite this, my claim was still rejected.
Following this, I emailed MB&G Insurance six days ago, offering to pay for a single seat replacement myself, but I have not received any response. This is the first claim I have made in over four years of having the coverage.
