Champagne for my friend Denis Geary ordered on MAY 10, in time for his 80th birthday. Although I gave a correct address which I have used for the last 20 years at least and confirmed with the government phonebook, the courier could not find it and it was returned to Stillorgan. It was now past his birthday so I cancelled the champagne and ordered wine instead, this time with the Eircode. The shipment got lost. It was resent and then the courier claimed they could not find the address though it was clearly stated on the label. The wine was finally delivered 5 weeks after the original order.
This is totally unacceptable as I'm sure you'll agree. Alex, your representative did what was expected of him, the failure was clearly the fault of the courier.
I was very upset that my friend had to wait so long for his gift, way past his birthday. I do not want anything from you but you could at least phone Denis Geary 058 59121 and apologise. I would also expect a responsible company like yours to offer him something more concrete by way of apology.
