I was on my way to help a friend stranded on the highway, driving in an unfamiliar place on a wide road, and somehow missed that I was in a school zone and was going 32. I got a ticket and then realized that I’d been charged with a misdemeanor. Matthew Brinkley, the attorney OTR assigned got it reduced to an infraction with a fine even after the prosecutor said it wasn’t possible. I still don’t know if there is a chance it will affect my insurance, but I’m so grateful not to have a misdemeanor for trying to help someone in need
