I ordered 2 DVDs--- (1) a 1935 production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood starring Claude Rains and (2) the 1933 version of Oliver Twist starring Dickie Moore. One DVD was correct while the other was not. I called the Oldies Customer Service phone number immediately (July 30) after I watched about 10 minutes of the Oliver Twist movie. Instead of receiving the 1933 movie that I ordered, I received a 1922 version starring Jackie Coogan. The Oldies rep told me that a return shipping label would be emailed to me so that I could return the incorrect item at no cost. A replacement DVD would be sent but there was no guarantee that the replacement would be correct since there are so many versions of Oliver Twist. In other words the person creating the disc does not view the film, however, replacements are often correct. After not receiving the shipping label email, I called the following day (July 31). Another Oldies rep told me that their record showed I complained about defective packaging. He would escalate the issue to his boss after I repeated the problem of receiving the incorrect production of Oliver Twist. The point is I spent over $40 on 2 DVDs for a gift. Both of these movies are available for free on You Tube, but I wanted these 2 Dickens movies to be part of a permanent home collection for the President of the Dickens Fellowship of NY. When this problem is satisfactorily resolved, I will write another review. Crossing my fingers!!!! Update: My ordered was placed July 21, mailed July 26, delivered July 29, but one DVD was incorrect. I contacted Customer Service on July 30 upon my watching about 10 minutes of the DVD. The shipping label was received via email onJuly 31 after our post office was closed. I immediately returned the incorrect DVD the following moring (August 1 at 8:04am) I was at the post office when it opened, but one customer was ahead of me on line. The DVD was delivered to Oldies. com on August 5 and the correct DVD was delivered to me on August 15. 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel that when there are mutiple versions of a movie, whoever creates that movie on demand should check the year/actors etc. before creating the DVD. This would significantly cut down the time to call Customer Service, return the incorrect DVD, and for Oldies.com to recreate and re-send the correct movie. Overall, I would recommend Oldies. com and I would order again from them due to the wonderful Customer Service team of Valerie and Richard!
