In 25 years as a customer, service was always perfect and I never had to deal with "customer service." What a bastion of apathy and misinformation! My order arrived promptly (as usual), but it was not what I ordered! I was told to return the incorrect order C.O.D. After paying a reimbursable$18 for C.O.D. stamps (go figure), my package was refused by Oldies.com. I was later told by a different associate, "We don't accept C.O.D.s." I was also told of the protocol for returns: upon request, they would mail a pre-paid sticker for returns. Nice to know, but too late to help me.
In my fourth conversation, I was told rather curtly that I needed to talk to "Bernie," who didn't happen to be in at the moment. My fifth conversation was the next day with Bernie, apparently blessed with intelligence, concern and some authority. He was the first Oldies rep to say, "We're sorry for the mistake." We agreed that he would reimburse me for my initial purchase and look into reimbursing my $18 paid for the returned package.
A week later, no reimbursement has been received, but I do have faith in Bernie.
I'm through with Oldies.com, and can strongly recommend doing business with anyone else. If you've got a problem with your order, you've got a big problem.
