I have subscribed to OpenStudio for the past 8 months and find it to be an excellent vehicle for improving my understanding of jazz techniques and theory and for staying motivated to improve my playing. The teachers and staff are top notch and the ability to slow the videos and/or use the provided transcriptions (which I’d love to see more of) makes it much easier to pull apart the musical puzzles of the improvisations. I have been playing the piano for 60 years, and playing jazz for 45 of those and OpenStudio has shed light on many techniques I’ve heard in recordings but had not yet realized in my own playing. Seven stars and more! Keep up the great work!!
